Governor Hyacinth Alia of Benue State has warned those unhappy with his leadership to leave the state, emphasizing his position as the sole authority in the region.
Speaking on Tuesday at the burial of the late royal father, Zaki Toko Zumbe, Tor Kule Kule, Mbangur, Mbadede, in Vandeikya Local Government Area, Alia declared that no one should attempt to undermine his authority.
“There are no two governors in the state,” he stated. “I am the only governor, and no one should undermine me.”
Addressing the Tiv people, the governor added, “I want the entire Tiv nation to hear this: anyone unhappy with my governorship can leave Kunav land or Tiv land altogether.”
Governor Alia’s remarks underscore his firm stance on leadership and authority in Benue State.
