The Kebbi State Pilgrims Welfare Agency has announced a revised deadline for the registration of intending pilgrims for the 2025 Hajj.
According to a statement signed by Alhaji Faruk Aliyu Yaro, Jagaban Gwandu, Executive Chairman of the agency, the new deadline is February 5, 2025. This adjustment aligns with directives from the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), which requires state Pilgrims Welfare Boards and Agencies to remit all collections by February 1, 2025.
The statement noted that over 60% of the state’s Hajj allocation has already been processed since registration began in September 2024, with only 40% remaining.
Intending pilgrims are encouraged to utilize the remaining time to make their deposits before the new deadline to secure their participation.
“Intending pilgrims must deposit Eight Million, Four Hundred Thousand Naira (N8,400,000.00) via a bank draft from any commercial bank, payable to the Kebbi State Pilgrims Welfare Agency,” the statement emphasized.
Registration will be conducted on a first-come, first-served basis to ensure fairness.
Additionally, individuals who made deposits in previous years but were unable to participate in past Hajj exercises are required to top up their payments to meet the minimum deposit before February 5 to confirm their seats.
The agency reaffirmed its commitment to enhancing services for registered pilgrims and promised to introduce new strategies to improve the overall Hajj experience.
