Malam Surajo Yarima, a Kano resident, has pleaded with Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf to intervene after his house, valued at N20 million, was reportedly auctioned for N2 million by a court.
Yarima disclosed in an interview with Hikima RTV that the sale was carried out to settle a debt of N300,000, leaving him, his wife, and nine children homeless.
He explained that he missed the court summons due to being out of the state and returned two days after the auction with the repayment, which the creditor rejected.
He alleged irregularities in the judicial process and called for a government investigation, claiming the sale lacked transparency.
The state government and judiciary are yet to respond to the matter.
