The Oshodi-Isolo Local Government has announced plans to rename Liverpool Road in Oshodi-Isolo after Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Tinubu, in recognition of his contributions to youth and community development.
Council Chairman Kehinde Oloyede disclosed this in a statement shared on the council’s official X (formerly Twitter) handle by his media aide.
Oloyede stated, “All is now set for the renaming of Liverpool Road in Oshodi-Isolo Local Government after the son of Nigeria’s President, Amb. Seyi Tinubu.”
When contacted, a media aide to the chairman confirmed that Liverpool Road, a key route connecting the Oshodi/Apapa Expressway and the international airport, would soon be commissioned and officially renamed in honor of Seyi Tinubu. The exact date for the ceremony will be announced later.
Oloyede further explained that the road had previously been a hotspot for criminal activities, making it unsafe for passage during both day and night.
He attributed the transformation of the road to his administration’s efforts, stating that criminal elements who once used the area as a hideout were driven away, paving the way for its reconstruction and improved safety.
