
Laycon FC has emerged victorious in the thrilling grand finale of the 5th edition of the Honourable’s Cup, defeating Ajase Ipo United in a match that captivated football enthusiasts at the Offa Township Stadium.
The annual football tournament, which has become a significant event in the state’s sporting calendar, is solely sponsored by Honourable Abdulwaheed Gbenga Yusuf JK, a member of the Kwara State House of Assembly representing Eesa/Shawo/Igboidun Constituency.
The grand finale, marked by electric excitement, commenced with a ceremonial kickoff by Ambassador Zainab Damilola Abbas, the Development Officer of Offa Local Government Area.
The final match also witnessed a gathering of notable dignitaries. Among those present were: Honourable Kehinde Giwa; Aare Musbau Olalekan Olaniyi, the Aare Bobajiroro of Offaland; Honourable Lawal Ayanshola Salihu, a member representing Oloru/Malete/Ipaye State Constituency among others.
