Wike-Secondus-1

Former National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Uche Secondus, has claimed that he, alongside God and other political leaders, played a pivotal role in shaping the political career of Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

Speaking during the inauguration of the 14km Bori internal roads project in Rivers State alongside Governor Sim Fubara, Secondus criticized Wike for behaving as though his political rise was divine and independent of human effort.

In his words:
“Those who are making noise in Abuja, how did they rise? It was God, along with some of us and the leaders seated here, who made it possible. We acknowledge God first because we do not want to take His glory.

“I remember during my thanksgiving service after becoming National Chairman, Wike openly acknowledged that apart from God, it was through my efforts and other leaders that he achieved what he did. Yet today, when he speaks, either in Abuja or here, he acts as though he descended from heaven.”

Secondus also praised Governor Fubara for his humility and respect for elders, describing him as a man of few words but significant action.

He added:
“The true test of leadership is demonstrated during times of confusion and frustration. Governor Fubara has shown his capacity to lead with faith and resilience. He is not someone who seeks praise; instead, he lets his actions speak for him.

“Do not worry, because power comes from God. Just as He gave it to Wike through us, He has now given it to you. From all indications, you will excel. Your love and respect for others, as exemplified by the commandment to ‘love your neighbor as yourself,’ are spreading across the state. You honor elders, and we continue to pray for your success.”
