The Kwara State Governor,Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has praised the Olomu of Omupo, Oba Muhammad Adebayo Buhari, for fostering peace and driving significant development in Omupo, a town in Ifelodun Local Government Area.
The governor’s commendation came during the 2024 Oba Igba Festival, which included the commissioning of the new Aganju Olomu and the conferment of traditional titles on distinguished indigenes of the community.
Governor AbdulRazaq, represented by his Chief of Staff, Prince Abdulkadir Mahe, described Oba Buhari’s leadership as visionary and impactful. He highlighted the monarch’s role in promoting harmony and spearheading Omupo’s transformation.
Acknowledging the contributions of the Omupo Descendants Union and other stakeholders, the governor thanked them for their commitment to the town’s progress.
In his remarks, Oba Muhammad Buhari expressed joy over the community’s achievements and the festival’s success.
“We are proud to celebrate the Oba Igba in its most exciting format yet, paying tribute to the inspiring and courageous lives of our forefathers,” the monarch stated.
