Nigerian singer Raoul John Njeng-Njeng, popularly known as Skales, has expressed concern over the growing distrust in government institutions.
The artist highlighted that more Nigerians are now seeking justice and assistance from fellow citizens, such as activist VeryDarkMan, instead of relying on the government.
Taking to his X account, Skales wrote:
“It’s crazy what is going on in Nigeria … imagine where the citizens cannot run to the government but to a fellow citizen like VDM for help. Smh!! God bless & protect him tho.”
This trend reflects a broader shift, as many Nigerians increasingly turn to activists like VeryDarkMan to address their grievances and seek justice.
Skales also shared a personal encounter with police officers who, during a stop, demanded ‘Christmas’ money. When he refused, the officers allegedly threatened to delay him and search his vehicle, underscoring the challenges faced by citizens in dealing with law enforcement.
