The Zamfara State Government has announced the payment of N70,000 new minimum wage to civil servants in the state will begin in March, 2025.
This came as the state government and the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC have signed a Memorandum of Understanding on the implementation of N70, 000 new minimum wage.
According to the state government, payment of the new national minimum wage will commence in March, 2025 after the completion of worker’s verification exercise.
A representatives of the unions in the state also encourage workers to shun the planned strike as directed by the national body of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC).
The state which is among the 12 states listed by the NLC to embark on industrial action following the inability of the state governments to implement the new national minimum wage recently approved by the federal government.
