Dazmah Consult Nigeria Ltd, in collaboration with Eastman Auto and Power Limited, the manufacturer of Addo the King Tubular battery and inverter, successfully hosted the first phase of a technical training seminar on Thursday, November 14 2024, in One Innovation Hub, Offa, Kwara State.

 

The one-day event aimed to equip participants with hands-on knowledge of the maintenance and repair of solar power systems.

 

Under the theme “Efficient Energy Management: Smart Grids, Renewable Energy Sources, and Energy-Efficient Technologies,” the seminar focused on sustainable energy practices and the latest innovations in the sector.

 

Speaking to over sixty attendees, Dazmah Consult CEO, Mr. Omojasola Olatunji Dauda, emphasized that the objective of the workshop extended beyond technical training. It was part of efforts to support Offa’s Smart City initiative and improve the quality of life for residents in Offa, Kwara State, and neighbouring Osun State.

 

According to him, “Our goals are to promote sustainability, reduce carbon emissions, stimulate economic growth through job creation, and improve local infrastructure and service management.”

 

In a goodwill message, the Vice Chancellor of Summit University, Offa, Prof. Musa Aibinu, praised Dazmah Consult for partnering with Eastman Auto and Power Limited, a renowned manufacturer of alternative energy solutions from India, to organize the workshop.

 

He remarked, “This initiative is highly commendable and motivating, as it contributes directly to the Smart City project in Offa.”

 

Prof. Aibinu also addressed the growing concern of energy poverty in Nigeria, where the frequent failures of the national power grid have hindered economic activity.

 

He recognized the workshop as timely and crucial in providing practitioners in the alternative energy sector with the necessary technical skills to tackle the country’s energy challenges.

 

He concluded by assuring Dazmah Consult of Summit University’s continued support and encouraged all participants to actively engage in the workshop to ensure its success.

 

At the end of the event, certificates were presented to all participants in recognition of their involvement in the training.
