Mark Rutte, the Secretary-General of NATO, extended his congratulations to Donald Trump on his victory in the US presidential election in a statement released on Wednesday.
Rutte expressed that Trump’s return to leadership would play a vital role in maintaining the strength of the alliance.
“His leadership will be crucial in ensuring our alliance remains robust. I eagerly anticipate collaborating with him once more to promote peace through strength within NATO,” he remarked.
