The Offa Descendant Union (ODU) under the leadership of Alhaji Azeez Muhydeen Olaniyi Salako, has expressed its condolences to the management and the entire staff of NNPC (formerly OANDO) Filling Station following a fire outbreak that occurred in some parts of its office on Wednesday night, 10th January, 2024.

The ODU described the fire outbreak as unfortunate and acknowledged the lifesaving efforts of the Federal Fire Service in putting out the fire, which could have led to the loss of lives and properties without their intervention. The Union also commended Hon. Jare Olatudun, the Offa TIC Chairman, for his support in supplying fuel and offering physical assistance at the scene of the fire.

While thanking God that no life was lost in the incident, the union urged the people of Offa and the neighbouring communities to be more vigilant and take fire safety seriously. ODU also advised the Fire Service to continue educating the public on fire prevention. Finally, the union *appeals to the individual and corporate organisations within the Community to always support both the state and Federal Fire Services in whatever capacity they can.
