The Offa Descendants’ Union, ODU, under the able leadership of Alhaji Muideen Olaniyi Azeez-Salako felicitates with Sir Olusoji Robert-Joseph Olagunju, KSG, and Lady Dr Olabisi Clementine Olagunju on their conferment as Aremo and Yeye Aremo of Offa respectively.
Aremo Olagunju is the second Aremo of Offa. The first was Late Prince Adegboye and the second was Late Professor M. O. Oyawoye, who was named Aremo of Offa in August 1997, exactly 26 years after the new Aremo was named in August 2023. Like his esteemed predecessor, the late Professor M. O. Oyawoye, Aremo Olagunju is of royal blood, paternally and maternally. Paternally, he is the great-grandson of Prince Oyewole Temileke, the son of Olofa Olumorin Anilelerin, the then Olofa of Offa. Maternally Prince Olusoji is the great-grandson of his imperial Majesty, Alaafin Atanda Adeyemi I of Oyo (Father of Alabi Adeyemi II and Grandfather of Alaafin Lamidi Adeyemi III).
Aremo and Yeye Aremo are multisectoral Investors in Education, Health, Media and Sports, among others. They are deeply religious in the Catholic faith to be recognized by Pope Francis with the highest international honour, Papal knighthood of the Order of St. Gregory in the year 2021 as ‘Sir‘ and ‘Lady‘.
