UNIOSUN Teaching Hospital, Osogbo, marked this year’s Christmas celebration with a thoughtful initiative for pediatric patients. Led by the Hospital’s Management Committee, a gift presentation was organized to share joy with the young patients undergoing treatment.
During the program, Professor Peter Babatunde Olaitan, the Chief Medical Director, expressed the intention behind this gesture – a demonstration of love and inclusion, allowing the children to partake in the festivities surrounding the birth of Jesus Christ.
Prof. Olaitan took the opportunity to reaffirm the hospital’s unwavering commitment to providing high-quality medical services, conducting impactful research, and delivering comprehensive training, which has become synonymous with the institution.
In his address, the Chief Medical Director extended heartfelt prayers for the swift recovery of all the patients, while Santa Claus distributed gifts, food, and drinks to uplift the spirits of the children.
The families of the young patients expressed their gratitude and offered prayers for Prof. Olaitan, his dedicated team, and the overall success of the hospital.
This compassionate Christmas celebration has become a tradition under the leadership of Prof. Olaitan, with last year marking the inaugural event. Among those present were members of the Hospital Management Committee, including Prof. Mrs. Janet Olaitan, Dr. Babatunde Afolabi (Chairman Medical Advisory Committee), Dr. Owolade (Director of Administration), and other management and nursing staff, led by Alh Munirudeen Awal, the Director of Nursing Services.
