In a grand event hosted at Leisure Spring Hotel, Osogbo, the Management, Staff, and Students of Osun State College of Technology (OSCOTECH) came together on Thursday, December 21, 2023, to celebrate the distinguished Rector, Dr. Samson Akinbamide Omobayo Adegoke.
The celebration marked Dr. Adegoke’s recent recognition by African Integrity Magazine, where he was honored with the ‘Excellence in Leadership in Human Capacity Development in Nigeria’ award during the 19th African Leadership Development Conference/Award Conferment held in Accra, Ghana on December 9, 2023.
Dignitaries at the event spoke glowingly of Dr. Adegoke, praising his intelligence, administrative prowess, and dedication to excellence in his role as an Estate Surveyor and Valuer, as well as a Town Planner. The Rector’s illustrious career, spanning both private and public organizations, was commended without a stain.
Among the accolades received by Dr. Adegoke are Fellowships from esteemed institutions such as the Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers, the International Institute of Chartered Educational Practitioners (FIICEP) in the UK, the Institute of Policy Management and Leadership Development, and the World Institute of Peace, where he was recognized as an ‘Icon of Peace.’
Goodwill messages poured in from friends, family members, and OSCOTECH staff, highlighting the Rector’s positive impact. Prince Diran Odeyemi, Chairman of the Governing Council of the College, led other Council Members in congratulating Dr. Adegoke, describing him as both intelligent and a pleasure to work with.
Royal blessings were bestowed upon Dr. Adegoke by two revered figures, the Apetumodu of Ipetumodu, HRM Oba (Prof.) Joseph Oluwagbemiga Oloyede, Latimogun I; and the Owamiran of Esa-Oke, HRM Oba Adeyemi Akanbi Adediran, Atipa Owaji II. Both Royal fathers called for increased support from the staff and students for Dr. Adegoke’s administration.
Expressing gratitude, Dr. Adegoke thanked God for deeming him worthy to contribute to humanity. He assured everyone present of his continued commitment to serving humanity to the best of his ability.
