The Offa Descendants’ Union, ODU, Lagos State branch, has renewed its commitment to provide free medical services for selected elderly people in Offa for another year.
The free medical service was sponsored by the Asiwaju of Offa and Chairman of Avalon Group, Alhaji Tajudeen Owoyemi.
At a brief but solemn ceremony held at the ODU Hall in Offa on Friday, November 10, 2023, the ODU Lagos State Branch Chairman, Alhaji Ademola Buraimoh, broke the pleasant news to the delight of the beneficiaries. The beneficiaries, who are drawn from the 12 wards in Offa LG, have been enjoying free medical services for the past four years.
The beneficiaries, who were visibly elated, admitted that their physical well-being had improved considerably since they started to benefit from the programme. They expressed their sincere gratitude to ODU Lagos and the sponsor of the free medical service, Alhaji Tajudeen Owoyemi. They also thanked the management of Gentleman Abdulsalam Memorial Hospital (the hospital they were attached to) for their professional competence.
