The Offa Descendants’ Union, ODU, under the leadership of Alhaji Muideen Azeez Olaniyi Salako, has mourned the passing of Chief Asanlu of Offa, Chief Yekini Asanlu, which occurred on Saturday, October 28, 2023.
The union describes Chief Asanlu’s death as a colossal loss, as he will be sorely missed for his tireless efforts and unwavering commitment to the development of Offa. Alhaji Yekini was a devoted Muslim and peace-loving man who dedicated his entire life to the service of Allah and humanity. The union observed that Chief Asanlu left a footprint that is adorable and worthy of emulation. The union added that the good children he left behind testify to the fact that Chief Asanlu lived a good and disciplined life.
ODU hereby extends heartfelt condolences to Olofa-in-Coucil, under the able leadership of Olofa of Offa, Oba Mufutau Gbadamosi Esuwoye II, his immediate family, colleagues, friends, associates, and the Offa Community over his demise. The union prayed to Almighty Allah to grant him Janatul Fir’daus and give his loved ones the strength to bear the irreplaceable loss.
