The maiden edition of Osun Employment Conference has been scheduled to hold in December, 2023.
This information was contained in a statement released by the Spokesperson of the collaborating organizations, Adedayo Oderinu, in Osogbo on Tuesday. According to him, the Osun Employment Conference is being organized to bring together employers, job seekers, employment consultants and policymakers, with a view to optimize the Osun Employment landscape.
He stated that in times past, Employers and Employment Consultants have complained bitterly about the absence of qualified and committed Human Resources in Osun State, while Job Seekers have complained about the non-availability of profitable jobs. The Conference is thus to bring the different tendencies together, to discuss ways of creating jobs and making existing ones sustainable.
Oderinu also stated in the release that several organizations are collaborating to execute the first-ever Osun Employment Conference and will be working with many other development and Government partners to make the event a huge reality.
Giving details of the conference, he stated that it will be a two-day event where that will include human resources training, mock interviews, career fair, support with optimization of job seeker credentials, sessions on getting jobs abroad, career mentoring, networking, among others. He also made it known that well established HR Experts from around the country will be present at the Conference.
He further stated that at the end of the Conference, the organizers hope that the objective of creating more opportunities for job seekers to excel, would have been achieved.
