The Offa Descendant Union (ODU), under the leadership of Alhaji Muideen Olaniyi Azeez-Salako, has expressed its shock over the demise of Alhaji Rahim Ojolowo from Ile Elemona Offa, which occurred on Sunday, September 3, 2023. Ojolowo, during his life, was an itinerary singer who was popular among the people of Offa and its environs.
ODU described the late solo performer as an entertainer who was very good at his trade. Baba n’Taju, a stage name he was known for, was richly endowed with good memories, as he always had an endless repertoire of songs that were apt for the people and the event. His contributions to the preservation and promotion of our cultural heritage will never be forgotten. He was indeed a true gem and an icon whose melodies will forever be remembered and celebrated. Baba Ojolowo has indeed left a legacy that will continue to inspire generations to come.
ODU commiserates with the entire family, friends, associates, and fans of Alhaji Ojolowo Baba n’Taju over this irreplaceable loss. The union also prays to Almighty Allah to admit the soul of Alhaji Abdulrahim Ojolowo to Janatul Fir’daus. Amin.
