…..Warns Chief Eesa

A youth group in Eko-Ende, Ifelodun Local Government Area of Osun State calls on Governor Ademola Adeleke to intervene in the ongoing royal tussle in in the town, before it snowballs into avoidable crisis.

The youths, under the agies of the Eko-Ende Development Youths Vanguard, EDYV, said only Governor Adeleke’s intervention could solve the crisis that currently engulfs the town.

It would be recalled Elende of Eko-Ende, Oba Rauf Olaniyan Ajiboye Olaigbo VIII, joined his ancestors late March, 2023.

EDYV made the appeal in a release issued by the group’s publicity Secretary, Kehinde Adebiyi and made available to journalists in Osogbo, Osun State Capital.

It reads, “going down memory lane, EDYV recalls that, following the age-long arrangement, two royal lineages have the right to the throne of Elende, namely Olaigbo and Ayedun. It should be added that the late Oba Raji Oladosu came from Ayedun lineage and of Eesa-Orun royal family. The immediate past Oba Rauf Olaniyan was from Olaigbo royal lineage.

“Hence, it is the turn of Ayedun lineageLineage to nominate candidates for the traditional stool, who must be from Obatiwajoye and Aromoye royal families, since the Eesa-Orun family had produced Oba Raji Oladosu, when it was the turn of Ayedun royal Lineage then. However, some unscrupulous elements are trying to cause avoidable crisis, by sponsoring a candidate from Eesa-Orun family, when it is not yet their turn again.

“The Eko-Ende Development Youths Vanguard therefore appeals to Governor Ademola Adeleke, who we know as a lover of peace, equity and justice to intervene as a matter of urgency, before the issue triggers crisis, as it happened in Ikirun and some other towns during the immediate past administration in Osun state, before the incumbent Governor used Executive Order to halt the crises.”

EDYV also fingers the Eesa of Eko-Ende, High Chief Isaac Ogunkeye, of being behind the move to subvert justice and urges Governor Ademola Adeleke to caution him” before he set the peaceful town on fire.”
