Lawmaker representing Obokun State Constituency, Hon. Adewumi Adeyemi Irekandu urged parents and all levels of government to do more to preserve children’s rights and improve their quality of life.
This request was made in a statement that the lawmaker signed and released to the newsmen.
The ranking member of the soon-to-be-inaugurated 8th assembly highlighted concerns about out-of-school children and those who are living in penury and extreme poverty while referring to children as God’s gifts who deserve care, love, and attention always.
The 39-year-old legislator contends that in addition to making sure that kids are well-cared for and receiving a good education, parents and all levels of government need to buckle up.
The young architect also voiced concerns regarding the geometrical rate of mortality and the arithmetical rate of resources needed to mitigate adverse consequences on society.
According to him, parents should try to have as many children as they can support, and governments at all levels should also offer essential social amenities to make life an enjoyable experience for kids.
