The National President of Offa Descendants Union (ODU) – Alh. Muideen Olaniyi Azeez-Salako echoes the voice of Sherry Anderson who said “volunteers don’t get paid, not because they are worthless, but because they are priceless.” This was said to appreciate all members of ODU Economic Development Committee ; members of Development of Offa Industrial Trust (DOIT) Fund ; and Management Members of ODU owned ONE Innovation Hub. The grateful President prays that the Almighty God will bless all members of the Volunteering Team.
Remarking on the person of Engr. Kola Balogun , _the donor of O-Kola Balogun Technology Centre_, the ODU National President said the marking of Diamond Jubilee birthday with a gift as a means of giving back to the society is a timely intervention that is worthy of emulation.
The President confirms that to improve domestication of Printed Circuit Board (PCB) popularly known as Motherboard, design and manufacturing in Offa (Made in Offa), Engr. Kola Balogun donated a manufacturing technology Center to Offa Community through ODU vision of Industrialization of Offa, which the current ODU administration is leaving no stone unturned, by building on the good footing of the past administration and more.
Alh. Azeez-Salako said “the happiest people are not those getting more, but those giving more.” He said Chairman, MOMAS Meters is finding himself by losing himself in the service of others. “At the end of the day it is not about what you have, or even what you have accomplished but it is about who you have lifted up, who you have made better.” He said Engr. Balogun had passed this test. Therefore, he has scouted for himself happiness in the life before him.
The ODU National President hereby calls on all Offa worthy sons and daughters to emulate numerous Offa indigenes who has been giving back to the society for such gestures have eternal rewards.
Finally, the President reiterates that the importance of giving back to the society is huge raging from spreading love; to inspiring friends and family; teaching the upcoming generation generosity; strengthening of personal values; helping those in need; giving meaning to people’s lives and giving the less privileged opportunity for meaningful life.
