Adetola Salau, Special Assistant on Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Education in Lagos State has graduated from Buffalo State University, United States of America.
She had her Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) programme in Curriculum, Instruction and the Science of Learning from the varsity.
Adetola Salau is also Senior Special Assistant (Education) to the Executive Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
Announcing the development via her WhatsApp status, she wrote, “my graduation week! A promise keeping God! Halleluyah is my song!”
Speaking further, she stated, “I’m following after the legacy of my parents – Professor A.T. Salau and Dr (Mrs) O.A Salau. Both leading researchers and intellectuals who left major footsteps for me to step into.”
She however stated she wished her father, Professor A.T. Salau, lived to see her present achievement.
“With all of my heart, I wish my dad were alive. He would have been here with me. His joy boyndless! He would have been blessing me in Yoruba and telling me how proud he was of me. How I started the program and finished it. How he was glad that I went through it for not just myself. Oh how I long for my father, how I long for my dad.
With this additional arsenal to my life, I continue in their lead to dedicate my life to the service of humanity. My path is resolving the issue of providing quality education to African children while ensuring that they are future ready to create economically viable communities across Africa.

Adetola Salau had earlier had her Bachelor of Science at Fordham University in 1998, Masters in Chemical Engineering at Syracuse University in 2001 and studied at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
