In a communal setting like Offa, Kwara State where most developments accrued are community self-strive, while 70% of economic edifices are owned by individuals, first community in Africa that built a complete MOPOL Barack with donations, such community needs maximum cooperation amongst her citizenry to oars for more developmental projects; such community needs maximum cooperation amongst her citizenry to oars for more developmental projects.
This is a crucial community, not only in the present-day Kwara, North-Central, but in the whole Federation. Foresightedness and intelligence take the fore. They have been, for time immemorial.
Back on the rail: reminiscences on the just-concluded state house of assembly election, where we recorded youthful contestants that are intellectually drive cutting across different political parties: such as Ambassador Salaudeen A. Lukman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Honourable Abdulwasiu Hameed Ajibola of Accord Party, Hon. Teslim Sanni-Aba Balogun of Social Democratic Party (SDP), Honourable Princess Folashade Sherifat Keji of Accord Party and others. These young people rolled out ideas and innovations that will see Offa propelling in economy, infrastructure, security, health care, human capital development among others.
The experience and aura during the time were impressive and worth while. I wish Honourable Seun Ogunniyi (Adato) and Honourable Yusuf Gbenga (JK) would summon and induct their ideas with theirs, I believe this would foster real solutions and Offa would experience growth.
I wish we see political parties as platforms to contest, and not a cult group; while we see Offa as our first identity and source, not until then we can be intellectually wise. Only if an APC chieftain can become a PDP member, vice versa, for the sake of community interest, not until then our aspirations of attaining the highest political position in Kwara and Nigeria at large will stop being a wilde goose chase.
Only if our influential and celebrated leaders and wealthy will support talents irrespective of their background and political affiliation; not until then we can have a proud coming generations.
Only if youths start promoting youths without envying each others successes, whereas Ibrahim Gboyega write and Mufutau Mubarak Shittu publishes it on his online medium for wider awareness, when the business tycoon Mubarak ‘Famous Baba’, being promoted by the popular online media journalist Jimoh Taofik Adekunle (JAAT) only if the tech guru “Ridwan Abdulyekeen can create an online class for all knowledge inquisitive youths without taken a Kobo, only if comrade Nurudeen Akere can sponsor Comrade Abdulraheem Sheriffdeen and Comrade Hammed Tajudeen Anderson for their master programme, not until then we can be free from burdens.
To all talented and capacitated youths, local government election is around the corner, let elude using our God endowment on destructive propaganda, rather let navigate our brilliance on issue based maladies ravaging our community.
Let’s support youth with vast experience in both within and outside Offa environs. We can’t continue to be media aides and supporters with no substantial career job. Not until when intelligence matters in politics of offa, we can never get it right.
