The Independent National Electoral Commission has issued Certificate of Return to Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Fintiri and his deputy, Professor Kaletapwa Farauta.
In the rerun election held on last Saturday, Senator Aishatu “Binani” Dahiru of the All Progressives Congress (APC) received 6,513 votes, while PDP candidate Ahmadu Fintiri received 9,337 votes.
Ahmadu Fintiri received 430,861 votes overall, defeating Binani, who received 398,738 votes, to win the election.
However, political scheming came before the announcement.
A second election was scheduled for last Saturday after INEC pronounced the governorship poll held last month inconclusive.
