Banana Island in Ikoyi, Lagos State has experienced the collapse of an eight-story structure.
According to witnesses, the structure is the currently under construction Joe Faraday site.
When the building collapsed on Wednesday night, concreting was reportedly taking place on one of the floors.
A terse statement by the National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA, indicated that workers are trapped in the building.
NEMA noted that its officials are mobilising a quick response team to rescue trapped victims.
