…..Reinstates Unalloyed Loyalty To Saraki’s Leadership
A member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) 2023 presidential campaign council in Kwara State, Honourable Marooph Bukoye Bintinlaye has called on the party’s faithfuls and supporters to be calm and eschew any act of can be tagged antisocial.
According to Bintinlaye on Wednesday, “this is a time to restrategize, maintain tranquility and maintain orderliness as a party so as to come back stronger. Violence is not – and has never been – part of our culture.
“Our leader, former senate president Bukola Saraki is known for promotion of harmony and friendship across ethnic and religious lines in Kwara – and Nigeria as a whole, without any form of discrimination whatsoever.
“Kwarans are multi-ethnic entities. There are Fulani, Tapa (Nupe), Ìgbómìnà, Ọ̀yọ́, Èkìtì, Baruba and other tribes. Let us remain calm. All will be well,we are a peaceful people and so we shall remain.
“As they work to solve these problems, we should put our trust and support in our leader, Bukola Saraki, and the leadership of the party. Let’s remain calm, keep the peace, and continue to avoid any action that could cause civil unrest and discord.
“The opposition and those who oppose democracy want to create a state of national siege and tension that can disrupt the upcoming general elections and create an atmosphere of strife in our country. They are looking for any opportunities on our side to take advantage of. We must reject them; we should be undaunted and stand firm to safeguard our majority rules government by guaranteeing we hold ourselves in a serene and efficient way,” he said.
Also, Bintinlaye expressed optimism PDP’s mandate shall be recover through legal action.
“We must allow the legal process to continue unhindered in the state while we maintain peace and decorum,” the statement said.
