The Polytechnic Ojoku has declared Friday, March 7, 2023 which is Good Friday and Monday, March 10, 2023 which is Easter Monday as public holidays to mark 2023 year’s celebrations.
This disclosure was made in a release by the Head of Public Relations Unit, Hammed J. Sulaiman, on Thursday evening.
He said: “I have the directive of the Rector to inform you that the Federal Government of Nigeria has declared Friday, March 7, 2023 which is Good Friday and Monday, March 10, 2023 which is Easter Monday as public holidays to mark this year’s celebrations.
“Accordingly, the Rector has directed all staff and students to observe the holiday and resume on Tuesday, 11th of April, 2023.
“In the same vein, the Rector urged all Christian staff and students to imitate Jesus Christ’s qualities of selflessness, unity, forgiveness, kindness, love, peace, and patience. He also urged the Polytechnic Community to embrace the occasion of the Easter holiday this year to pray for an end to the country’s bedeviling issues.
