The campaign council of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kwara state has rejected the outcome of the just concluded gubernatorial election citing cases of gross irregularities.
In a statement issued through the Director of Media, Mr Lawal Akanbi Sharafadeen, the party expressed their dissatisfaction on the disenfranchisement of voters in what is believed to be an act carried out by the ruling party, APC and the electoral body, INEC.
In the same vein, the party decried the intimidation and violence meted out on their followers by security agencies and the military takeover in collation centers across the state forcing out agents and supporters in centres such as Igboro, Alanamu, Owode Onire, Afon and many others which gave room for manipulation of results.
The party therefore empathized with all their supporters including the women who suffered physical, psychological and emotional injury as a result of the attacks by members of the APC and security agents.
We also encourage all our members and supporters to remain resilient as we continue to hope for an end to this injustice.
