…Supreme Court To Communicate New Date For CO Vs Ajuloopin Judgement
The lawmaker representing Ekiti/Oke-Ero/Irepodun/Osi Federal Constituency in the house of Representatives, Hon. Raheem Olawuyi Ajuloopin, has suffered another embarrassment in Arandun, Irepodun local government area of Kwara State, as residents refused to turn up over what most people believe as betrayal of trust to the honorable.
Ajuloopin, who is an All Progressives Congress (APC), and his campaign team were left stranded and unattended to as even APC members refused to see the incumbent representative.
An APC member who confided in this medium explained that although, APC has two different excos in Arandun ward, one of the factional chairman, whose faction is most popular in the town did not attend the ward tour and had instructed all his followers not to show up.
The source explained that those who attended are mostly PDP and SDP members who were hurriedly lured with money to join the factional APC team so as not to expose their chairman, who is also an Arandun indigene, to shame before the campaign team.
However, there was a mild drama during the interaction with the Rep member as one of the elders in Arandun popularly known as Baba Jelili stood up and talked bare-faced to Ajuloopin. He stated that Rep Olawuyi has disappointed the party members and people of Arandun Town.
All efforts from Ajuloopin team to shut the man down proved abortive as people continue to shout that they allow the man to speak on their behalf.
Pressing further, Baba Jelili said that the people of Arandun are disappointed that the only tranformer Ajuloopin gave the town was later discovered to be a dead one which has not serve the town since its installation.
Furious by this reaction, Ajuloopin stood up and fired back, saying God will judge Baba Jelili and Arandun for not appreciating his work in the town. He also listed few empowerment programmes he was able to facilitate since assumption of office before the meeting was brought to an abrupt end as youths were chanting.
The irate youths were shouting “share us the money you brought and leave our town…share us the money and leave”
Meanwhile, the supreme court could not sit to adjudicate over the lingering issue between CO Adebayo and Rep Olawuyi Ajuloopin who are both fighting for the APC ticket for the House of Representatives for Irepodun, Isin, Ekiti and Oke-Ero federal constituency.
The court had however notified both parties that they will be communicated, a new date for the judgement.
