The All Progressives Congress (APC) chapter in Zamfara State has postponed its election campaign till January 18, 2023, for unspecified reasons.
According to information obtained, the state’s ruling party has been actively campaigning for the restoration of peace in the State and that is why its campaign leaders have decided to take a holiday.
“I have already made a promise that in my second tenure, I will restore peace in Zamfara State”.
This was said by Governor Matawalle during the beginning of his campaign last week on Tuesday, December 27, 2023, in Kaura Namoda Local Government Area of the State.
Recall that Governor Matawalle appointed Abdulaziz Yari, a former governor of the state, to serve as the coordinator of his campaign in the state.
Although Matawalle’s return to power would address the state’s insecurity issues, the former governor has made a plea to the state’s citizens.
