……Commends President Tinubu, Gov AbdulRahman Over Swift Security Response

The Renewed Hope Patriotic Movement (RHPM), Kwara State Chapter, under the leadership of its Coordinator, Hon. Abdul Wasiu Olowo, expresses sorrow over the tragic attack in Kaiama Local Government Area, which claimed the lives of innocent citizens.

The victims included two siblings of the Movement’s Youth Leader, Ahmed Mohammed Kaima.

RHPM extends its condolences to Ahmed Mohammed Kaima, his family, and the entire Kaiama community over this painful loss.

The massacre of law-abiding residents is a grievous tragedy that has left our Movement and the people of Kwara State in deep mourning.

We note that during his visit to Kaiama yesterday, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, who arrived in the community alongside service chiefs and key cabinet members, revealed that no fewer than 75 local Muslims were brutally killed for refusing to surrender to extremists propagating a strange and dangerous doctrine.

RHPM strongly condemns this act of violent extremism and stands firmly against all forms of terrorism and insecurity.

The Movement commends Governor AbdulRazaq for his swift, courageous, and compassionate response, particularly his decision to personally visit the affected community to commiserate with victims, assess the situation firsthand, and reassure residents of the government’s commitment to their safety.

This action reflects responsive leadership and genuine concern for the welfare of the people.

RHPM further applauds the Governor’s prompt engagement with the Federal Government, which culminated in the approval by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for the immediate deployment of an Army battalion to the area to carry out counter-offensive operations under the codename “Operation Savannah Shield.”

The Movement equally commends President Tinubu for approving Operation Savannah Shield.

They describe the approval as a decisive and timely intervention that demonstrates the Federal Government’s resolve to protect lives, confront violent extremism, and restore peace and security to affected communities.

As a pro-government, youth-driven political movement aligned with the Renewed Hope Agenda, RHPM remains committed to grassroots mobilization, youth empowerment, civic engagement, and advocacy for peace, unity, and responsible citizenship across the 16 Local Government Areas of Kwara State.

RHPM prays for the repose of the souls of the departed, comfort for the bereaved families, and lasting peace and security in Kaiama and its environs.
