Engr. Nurudeen Adeyemi Balogun has expressed deep sorrow over the gruesome terrorist attack on innocent civilians in Woro and Nuku communities of Kaiama Local Government Area, Kwara State, describing the incident as heartbreaking, cowardly, and a direct assault on peace-loving communities.
Engr. Adeyemi extends his heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims and the entire people of Woro, Nuku, and Kaiama at large, praying for divine comfort for those who lost loved ones and for the repose of the souls of the departed.
He also commiserates with the Executive Governor of Kwara State, His Excellency, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, CON over this tragic incident, acknowledging the emotional burden such attacks place on leadership and governance.
Engr. Adeyemi commends President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR for the decisive directive to deploy additional military assets to Kaiama and for the sustained counterterrorism posture aimed at flushing out criminal and extremist elements threatening lives and national security. He equally applauds Governor AbdulRazaq for his proactive collaboration with security agencies and the consistent successes recorded in dismantling terrorist and kidnapping networks across the state.
According to him, the swift mobilization of security forces and the intensification of counterterrorism operations reaffirm the commitment of both the Federal and Kwara State Governments to protecting innocent citizens and ensuring that perpetrators of these heinous crimes are brought to justice.
Engr. Adeyemi urges residents to remain calm, vigilant, and supportive of security agencies, stressing that collective cooperation remains vital in defeating terrorism and restoring lasting peace to affected communities.
