United States President Donald Trump has issued a stark warning to Iran, declaring that the country would face total annihilation if it ever attempted to assassinate him.
Speaking during an interview aired on NewsNation on Tuesday, Trump addressed what he described as “disturbing death threats from Iran” and outlined the consequences of any hostile action.
“If anything happens, they’re going to wipe them off the face of this earth,” Trump said, adding that Tehran should not contemplate such an act. “They shouldn’t be doing it. But I’ve left notification. If anything ever happens, the whole country is going to get blown up.”
He further stressed that Iran has not carried out any such action but warned of the devastating outcome if it did. “Not because of me if they did that, they would be obliterated. That would be the end. I’ve left instructions. If they do it, they get obliterated. There won’t be anything left,” Trump said.
The president explained that he had already issued “very firm instructions” to ensure a decisive response, underscoring that any attempt on his life would trigger an irreversible reaction.
Trump’s comments come amid continued tensions between Washington and Tehran, reflecting the long-standing mistrust and rivalry that have defined relations between the two nations.
