Afrobeat singer Afeez Adeshina, popularly known as Destiny Boy, has died.
His death was confirmed on Saturday by popular Instagram investigative journalist, Temilola Sobola, in a social media post on January 18, 2025.
Recall that in November 2024, Destiny Boy had disclosed via an Instagram post that he welcomed his first child at the age of 20.
As of March 2024, it was also reported that the singer proposed to his lover with a multi-million-naira diamond ring.
As at the time of filing this report, there is no verifiable source confirming the cause of his death. However, Goldmyne Africa claimed that the singer vomited blood before he died, while another source alleged that he died at the residence of a native doctor.
Confirming the development, Sobola wrote, “Singer Destiny Boy has passed away. May his soul rest in peace.”
