The Deputy Senate Leader and Senator representing Kwara South Senatorial District, Senator Oyelola Lola Ashiru, has called on youths across the district to take advantage of a 2026 Digital Training and Empowerment Programme to be facilitated by his office.
Senator Ashiru said the initiative is designed to equip young people with relevant and marketable digital skills, in line with the growing demand for technology-driven competencies in today’s economy.
According to him, the programme is part of his ongoing commitment to youth development and economic empowerment in Kwara South, with participants expected to gain practical digital knowledge that can enhance employability, entrepreneurship and innovation.
He urged interested youths to register promptly and clearly indicate their preferred areas of interest during the application process.
Registration for the programme opens on Sunday, January 18, 2026, at 10:00 p.m., and closes on Friday, January 23, 2026, at 10:00 p.m. The training date, Senator Ashiru noted, will be communicated to shortlisted candidates.
The Senator encouraged eligible youths not to miss the opportunity, stressing that digital capacity-building remains a critical pathway to sustainable livelihoods and economic inclusion.
