Senator Lola Ashiru

By Barr. Opeyemi Ogunmodimu (D Law) from Imode/Egosi Ward, Oke-Ero.
Immediate Past Secretary, Oke-Ero LG

I recently read an opinion piece by one Ibiyemi Olayemi, published by The Cityplus News titled “Ile La Tin Ko Eso Rode…”

However, I was surprised to see other news story about Senator Lola Ashiru’s developmental projects, including “Senator Ashiru commences Installation of street lights in Kwara South” and “Prudent Watchonline Present Award Award to Senator Lola Ashiru”.

What a contrast! However, the publisher of the later is a Kwara Southerner.

To start with I will like to challenge Ibiyemi Olayemi into a debate or walkthrough of Senator Ashiru’s projects in Kwara South, only if the name is not pseudo. Also, I will like to know the ward or LG of Ibiyemi, not for a sinister move but to point out to the beneficiaries of Senator Ashiru’s empowerments and the communities under his LG that has benefited immensely from the senators activities and projects. Who knows maybe Ibiyemi’s community or his kits and Kin might have been benefitted.

This is political season, and we are aware that will be propaganda and false narratives on the image of a prospective candidate who stands tall like Senator Ashiru. His stature and reach of seems to be intimidating to Ibiyemi’s paymasters.

As far as Nigerian constitution is concerned, everyone has a right to vote and be voted for, since the endorsement of Senator Ashiru for the kwara gubernatorial, by a group of likes mind, it has obviously makes other candidates shivers.
