Queen Ambassador Ayoola Ronke Fakunle has unveiled a 100-slot Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) scholarship scheme for indigent students in Offa, Kwara State ahead of the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
The initiative, which targets brilliant but financially disadvantaged candidates, is designed to ease the burden of examination costs on families and expand access to higher education for vulnerable youths across communities.
Announcing the scheme, Olasode said the scholarship is part of her sustained commitment to educational advancement and social inclusion, stressing that no child should be denied the opportunity to pursue higher education because of financial constraints.
Beneficiaries must possess a complete O’Level result (WAEC, NECO or NABTEB) with credit passes in English Language, Mathematics and at least three other relevant subjects, and must meet the required subject combinations for admission into tertiary institutions.
Interested applicants are to submit a copy of their O’Level results via WhatsApp to 09035381065 or 08144510532, while the deadline for registration has been fixed for January 31.
Queen Ambassador Ayoola Ronke Fakunle, a Legislative Aide of over two and a half decades at the National Assembly, currently serves as the National Women Leader of the National Assembly Legislative Aides Forum (NASSLAF) and Director of Human Capital/Humanitarian at the Remi Tinubu Support Organization (RETSO).
She has built a reputation for championing women empowerment, youth development and humanitarian outreach.
Her passion for education is reflected in the founding of Cap-leon International Academy, as well as two non-governmental organisations – WomenFest for Better Life Living Initiative and the New Generation of Productive Farmers Initiative – which focus on uplifting women, children and youths through education, agriculture and capacity-building programmes.
In recent years, she has also sponsored WAEC registration fees for indigent students in selected schools in Kwara State, implemented the “Pad a Girl” project to promote menstrual hygiene and school attendance among girls, and provided digital tablets to women in the legislative community to enhance their professional development.
Her humanitarian interventions further extend to outreach programmes for prison inmates, empowerment initiatives for persons with disabilities and support for schools for the blind.
Queen Ambassador Ayoola Ronke Fakunle’s contributions to national development and social empowerment have earned her several recognitions, including an Award of Excellence by NASS News, her election as National Women Leader of NASSLAF in the 10th Assembly, and her coronation as the North-Central Queen of the Wazobia.
She is also credited with organising the first-ever National Assembly Children’s Day Celebration, an initiative that exposed pupils to civic education and the workings of the legislature.
Queen Ambassador Ayoola Ronke Fakunle reaffirmed her belief that true leadership is measured by the number of lives positively impacted, noting that the initiative is another step towards building a more inclusive and opportunity-driven society.
