She hails from Ojomu North North-West Ward in Offa and has, over the years, built a reputation as a consistent party loyalist, a women development advocate and a strong voice for youth and female inclusion in governance across the state.

She began her formal education at Muslim Community Nursery and Primary School and proceeded to Muslim Community College for her secondary education.

Her leadership journey started very early in life.

At Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, she distinguished herself further as the Deputy Governor of Alexander Hall. She later emerged as the Governor of the same hall, and also emerged as the Chairlady of the Faculty of Education, Samaru campus.

These formative leadership roles laid a solid foundation for her organisational capacity, discipline and grassroots political consciousness.

In mainstream politics, Hajia Abbas Zainab Damilola has remained an active and visible player.

She has contested as an aspirant for the Kwara State House of Assembly representing the Ojomu/Balogun Constituency and also aspired to become the Chairman of Offa Local Government.

She has consistently championed women inclusion, youth mobilisation and grassroots political organisation through these platforms.

Looking ahead to 2027 and beyond, her political vision is firmly anchored on mentoring, grooming and building more women into politics.

She is strategically positioning herself as a bridge-builder and mentor for emerging female leaders, with a long-term goal of expanding women participation in governance, strengthening party structures at the grassroots and promoting people-centred leadership across Kwara State and Nigeria at large.
