The MOK Olalomi Spikers (Male) and MOK Olalomi Queens (Female) have expressed appreciation to the Offa Descendants Union North America (ODUNA) following the successful conclusion of the ODUNA Volleyball Tournament which grand finale was held at Zeems Sports Arena, Offa.
Speaking on behalf of both teams, their coach, Faremi Mary Oluwabukola (popularly known as Coach Bukky), commended the organisers for putting together a well-coordinated and impactful sporting event that has further strengthened volleyball development in Offa.
Coach Bukky specifically appreciated the Chairman of the teams, Qs. Muhydeen Okunlola Kayode, who is also the Founder of the MOK Foundation and Principal Partner of Luxiar Construction Company, for his support, encouragement and continuous investment in youth and sports development.
“Our participation and performance at this tournament would not have been possible without the fatherly support, motivation and sponsorship of Qs. Muhydeen Okunlola Kayode. He has remained a strong pillar behind our teams, and we are deeply grateful,” she said.
The MOK teams also extended appreciation to the officiating crew for ensuring fairness, professionalism and discipline throughout the tournament. Special recognition was given to:
Adebayo Lateef M. – National Grade 1 Referee and Secretary, Kwara State Volleyball Council; Saliu Femi – National Grade 2 Referee; and Saidu Mora – National Grade 3 Referee.
The teams commended the referees for their high sense of integrity, impartiality and commitment to maintaining the spirit of the game.
Coach Bukky further applauded ODUNA for organising a competition that not only promotes sporting excellence but also provides a platform for youth engagement, talent discovery and healthy living within Offa and its environs.
She reaffirmed the commitment of the MOK Olalomi Spikers and MOK Olalomi Queens to continue representing Offa with pride while working towards greater achievements in future competitions.
