The Osun State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has joined family members, associates and admirers across the country to celebrate elder statesman and former Minister of Transportation, Chief Ebenezer Babatope, as he clocks 83.

The party described Babatope as a father of many generations, a man of principle and discipline, and a living repository of wisdom whose life has continued to inspire public service anchored on integrity and responsibility.

The PDP said even at 83, Babatope remains intellectually active and deeply committed to mentoring younger generations.

It offers counsel and guidance aimed at strengthening society and deepening democratic values.

According to the party, Babatope’s years in public service, particularly as Minister of Transportation, were marked by dedication, competence and an uncommon passion for national development, qualities that have earned him lasting respect within and outside the political space.

“Baba has not ceased to teach, guide and shape minds. He remains a passionate advocate of good governance and responsible leadership, and those who have benefited from his mentorship take pride in his exemplary service to Nigeria,” the statement said.

The Osun PDP noted that Babatope’s life of service and uprightness has positioned him as a moral compass and reference point for political leaders and citizens alike, describing him as an enduring symbol of unmitigated integrity.

The party expressed gratitude that the elder statesman continues to enjoy sound health and peace of mind, praying for many more years of fruitful life.
