The Oroki Crystals Club, a foremost Osogbo-based social and philanthropic group, has disclosed that it will deepen social responsibility and humanitarian interventions across Osun State as it steps into the year 2026.
The club made the pledge in a New Year goodwill message released after its recent Third Anniversary and Annual General Meeting held at Ripples Hotel, Osogbo, where members reflected on three years of impactful service to humanity and community development.
In the statement, the club described the past years as a period of remarkable growth, noting that it has evolved into a pride of Osogbo and Osun State through consistent charitable and social initiatives.
Reiterating that “touching lives” remains the core of its mission, the Oroki Crystals Club highlighted some of its notable interventions in 2025, including a medical outreach during the Osun Osogbo Festival where about 500 residents received free health screenings, consultations and medications at the Ataoja of Osogbo’s palace.
The club also recalled its recent intervention at the Osun State Teaching Hospital, where it facilitated the release of 10 indigent patients detained over unpaid medical bills, describing the gesture as part of its resolve to stand with the vulnerable.
Other interventions included the empowerment of a petty trader, Mrs. Munirat, with a cash grant of ₦237,000 to expand her business, as well as the award of scholarships to six students through its annual quiz and debate competition.
The total cost of the interventions was put at over ₦2 million, funded through members’ annual dues and donations from patrons and matrons.
Beyond humanitarian activities, the club said it had also strengthened its internal welfare system.
It disclosed that its monthly contributory scheme recorded an annual turnover of about ₦30 million, while its cooperative society attracted members’ deposits of approximately ₦5 million and realised a profit of about ₦800,000 in the last financial year, with dividends scheduled for payment by January 2026.
Looking ahead, the club promised to scale up its interventions in 2026, with plans to revive youth sports development in secondary schools through the reintroduction of the Principal Cup, among other community-focused programmes.
“As we enter the new year, we are more determined to do more in social and humanitarian interventions that will uplift the less privileged, empower the youth and promote healthy living across our communities,” the statement said.
The Oroki Crystals Club urged members, partners and well-meaning Nigerians to continue supporting its programmes as it works towards building a more compassionate and inclusive society in Osun State.
