The Executive Chairman of Offa Local Government Area of Kwara State, Hon. Sulaiman Olatunji Omituntun has carried out an inspection visit to the ongoing construction of the 1.1km Isale-Ago–Ogba Arogun–St. Clair’s Junction Road.

It would be recalled that the Chairman flagged off the road on the 1st of January, 2026.

The inspection took place on January 18, 2026 and forms part of the council’s efforts to ensure that public works are executed according to specification and within schedule.

Hon. Omituntun was accompanied by a high-powered delegation, including Hon. Femi Abdulwahab Femi Agbaje Whyte, Adviser on Political Matters to Kwara State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq; Dr. Lanre Shittu, founder of the Dele Shittu Foundation and a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC); and the Offa APC Chairman, Prince Kunle Adegboye, popularly known as Kunle Papa.

Others on the entourage were the Offa APC Secretary and Supervisory Councillor for Works, Rasheed Tunde Banwo; Hon. (Alhaji) Muzemil Kehinde Giwa, Amirush-Shabab of Offa and Kwara State House of Assembly aspirant for Ojomu/Balogun Constituency; and Alhaji (Hon.) Sarafadeen Babatunde Oladipo, fondly called Laka, Executive Director of Al-Ahad Group and a 2027 House of Assembly aspirant for Eesa/Shawo/Igboidun Constituency, alongside other key stakeholders.

Speaking on the visit, the Chief Press Secretary to the Chairman, Comrade Abiola Azeez Adigun, said the inspection reinforced the administration’s resolve to uphold responsible governance, strict quality assurance, and the delivery of projects that directly impact the wellbeing of residents.

He noted that the road project, when completed, will significantly improve connectivity, ease movement within the affected communities, and boost socio-economic activities in the area.

Residents of Isale-Ago, Ogba Arogun and adjoining neighbourhoods turned out to warmly receive the chairman and his entourage, expressing gratitude for the intervention. They also pledged their full cooperation with the contractor to ensure the smooth and timely completion of the project.

The inspection visit further highlights the Offa Local Government’s determination to translate promises into tangible development, particularly in critical infrastructure that touches everyday life.
