The immediate past Financial Secretary of the South-West Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Hon. Abdul-Razaq Babatunde Adewoyin, popularly known as Tunde Baale, has resigned his appointment as Special Assistant to Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, with immediate effect.
Tunde Baale doubles as former Council Secretary for Ife East Local Government.
According to a source who pleaded anonymity, “Hon. Abdul-Razaq Babatunde Adewoyin resignation from Governor Adeleke’s government was a result of the Governor’s defection from PDP to the Accord Party.
“Baale feels his new position as a member of the Osun State PDP Caretaker Committee, and his loyalty to Governor Seyi Makinde and the South-West PDP don’t align with the current tide of Governor Adeleke. His political life and commitment are tied to PDP and Governor Seyi Makinde’s leadership, and he will never betray the party.”
In his resignation letter dated January 16, 2026, Tunde Baale thanked the Osun State Governor for the opportunity to serve, and pledged his loyalty to Governor Seyi Makinde’s leadership in Oyo State.
