The founder of the MOK Foundation, Alhaji Muhydeen Okunlola Kayode, has expressed profound sorrow following the passing of the esteemed Chief Imam of Ilorin, Dr. Imam Bashir Soliu, OON.
The announcement of his death was made earlier today by the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Sulu Gambari, along with members of the Imam’s close family.
In his tribute, Alhaji Muhydeen described the late Chief Imam as a dedicated scholar who devoted his life to the teachings of Islam and tirelessly worked to promote its principles throughout his lifetime.
Imam Bashir was not only a revered religious leader but also a guiding light for many, known for his wisdom, compassion, and unwavering commitment to the community.
Alhaji Muhydeen also extended his heartfelt condolences to the Emir of Ilorin, recognizing the deep bond shared between the Emir and the late Imam, who was one of his closest allies.
In this time of loss, he prayed that Allah grants forgiveness to Imam Bashir and welcomes him into the ranks of the inhabitants of Al Janat.
