Abuja is set to witness an extraordinary family celebration as nine children of the Minister of State for Defence, Bello Matawalle, are scheduled to wed on the same day in the Federal Capital Territory.
The marriage ceremony, which has attracted widespread public attention, will hold on February 6 at the Abuja Central Mosque, with proceedings slated to begin at 1.30 pm. An invitation card for the event, featuring the minister’s photograph, has been widely circulated on social media, sparking conversations across political and social spaces.
Those billed for the ceremony are Ibrahim, Suraj, Safiya, Maryam, Aisha, Fahad, Muh’d, Nana Firdausi and Farida. The event is being described by close associates as a carefully coordinated celebration rooted in faith, tradition and family unity.
Confirming the development, the All Progressives Congress spokesman in Zamfara State, Yusuf Idris, disclosed that the group comprises five sons and four daughters. He said arrangements had reached an advanced stage, with committees working diligently to ensure a seamless ceremony in Abuja.
According to him, the choice of venue underscores the family’s commitment to Islamic values and orderly conduct. He added that preparations were being handled with precision to deliver a dignified and hitch-free event.
