The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara State has been thrown into mourning following the death of a prominent Offa–based grassroots politician and community leader, Honourable Taofeek Omoluabi, popularly known as “Kanjuko.”
Hon. Omoluabi, a widely respected figure in Offa and its environs, was until his death a committed progressive, community builder and mobiliser whose political life was deeply rooted in service to humanity and grassroots development.
His death was confirmed on Sunday, January 11, 2026, by his elder brother, Honourable Azeez Oyeyemi Olanrewaju (Omoluabi), who announced the sad development in an emotional tribute through his WhatsApp status.
“I can’t still believe you are no more, my brother, my blood. May God accept you in Al-Jannatul Firdaus,” he wrote.
Fondly known as Kanjuko, the late politician was celebrated for his loyalty to the progressive movement and for offering what many described as qualitative representation to the people.
He was deeply involved in community empowerment, youth engagement, and social interventions that touched lives across Offa and neighbouring communities.
His annual Omoluabi Day and other community-driven initiatives had become symbolic of his passion for unity, service, and people-oriented leadership.
His passing has continued to generate an outpouring of grief, tributes and condolences from party faithful, community leaders, political associates and residents who described him as a humble, accessible and selfless servant of the people.
He is survived by family members, political protégés and a community that now mourns the loss of one of its most devoted sons.
