The Executive Director of Administration and Human Resources at the North Central Development Commission (NCDC), Hajia Bilqis Jumoke Sanni, PS (Rtd) has reacted to the passing of the Chief Imam of Ilorin and Chairman, Kwara State Council of Ulama, Shaykh Muhammad Bashir Solih, OON.
Hajia Bilqis Sanni said the late Chief Imam is a towering religious figure, an accomplished Islamic scholar, and a moral compass whose life was devoted to the service of Allah and humanity.
She added that his demise is a great loss not only to the Ilorin Emirate and the Muslim Ummah but also to Nigeria at large.
According to her, Dr. Imam Bashir Soliu was widely respected for his profound knowledge of Islam, humility, wisdom, and unwavering commitment to peace, unity, and community development.
His teachings and exemplary lifestyle, she said, will continue to inspire generations.
Hajia Bilqis Sanni extended her condolences to the Emir of Ilorin, His Royal Highness, Alhaji (Dr.) Ibrahim Sulu Gambari, CFR; the Executive Governor of Kwara State, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq; immediate family of the late Chief Imam, and the entire Ilorin Emirate.
She prays that Almighty Allah grants them the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
She further prayed that Allah, in His infinite mercy, forgives the shortcomings of the late Imam and admits him into Al-Jannah Firdaus, while his legacy of faith, service, and righteousness endures.
