![[PHOTOS] Made In Offa Celebrates Entrepreneurs, Creatives, Others at 4th Annual Awards Ceremony The Made in Offa (MIO) Initiative held the 4th edition of its Annual Award Ceremony yesterday at Imperial Event Center, opposite Summit University in Offa, Kwara State. The event drew together entrepreneurs, creatives, educators, and stakeholders in a colorful display of local pride and economic promise. Established as a platform to recognize and reward outstanding individuals and businesses operating within Offa, the initiative continues to gain momentum as a key driver of grassroots development, entrepreneurial recognition, and communal cohesion in the region. Speaking at the event, the Convener of the Made in Offa initiative, Mr. Balogun Ayodeji (alias King Fahd) revealed the programme’s core vision is to elevate and support local talents as well as promoting Offa as a hub of creativity and enterprise in Nigeria. He said, “This award is not just a plaque or a title; it’s a call to continue striving for excellence. “We are building a legacy that highlights the industrious spirit of Offa, and everyone being celebrated here tonight is part of that legacy.” He further emphasized the initiative's inclusive approach, welcoming nominees and awardees from all walks of life and diverse origins who are actively contributing to the growth of Offa’s economy, culture, and social fabric. This year’s edition saw awards presented across over 25 categories, spanning education, fashion, food, technology, media, creative arts, and service delivery. The winners were selected based on public nominations and vote bloc. Among the notable awardees at the 4th edition of the Made in Offa Awards was Mr. Mudashiru K.A of Offa Grammar School, who was honoured as Best Teacher, while Fola Juice and Parfait clinched the Entrepreneur of the Year award. Offa Connect was named Best Online TV, and Ayoola Cake and Pastries emerged as the Best Cake Plug. In the entertainment category, DJ Sulex was awarded Best DJ, and Toblizzy was recognized as the Best Artiste. Hardex Communication won Best Gadget Plug, while Hennah by Salmah received the award for Best Henna Artist. The Best Shoe Designer accolade went to QD Leather Brand, and Ara Empire was named Best Spa. Obis Graphics won Best Graphic Designer, and Iya Saheed received recognition as the Best Restaurant. Scent by Sherry took home the award for Best Perfume Plug, while Hollar Lee was named Best Chef. In the fashion and lifestyle categories, Umar Fabrics won Best Fabrics Plug, and Leemah Surprises was honoured as the Best Surprise Planner. Hormodara Stitches and Ayoka Stitches emerged as the Best Male and Best Female Fashion Designers, respectively. Nikky Glam was named Best Makeup Artist, and D Queen Accessories won Best Accessories Plug. Asake Elenu Razor took home the award for Best Content Creator, while Rajab Oba Idan and Mr Films were awarded Best Photographer and Best Videographer, respectively. In the branding and service sector, Dominance Creative earned the title of Best Printing Brand, Kayofola Eventory was named Best Event Decorator, and Kiakia Logistics received the award for Best Logistics Company. Nikky Touch was recognized as Best Hairstylist, MC Eleniyan won Best Event MC, and D Interior Window Blind Industry was named Best Interior/Exterior Designer. In addition to the competitive categories, two distinguished honorees received Special Recognition Awards: Inspector Musa Usman, a devoted security operative, was honoured for his outstanding service and unwavering dedication to community safety. Lawal Toyin Muhammad, PhD, a respected historian and scholar, was inducted into the MIO Hall of Fame for his lifelong contributions to academic excellence and cultural preservation for Offa. In a powerful testament to the initiative's commitment to youth and education, a student from Offa Local Government Area, who recorded the highest UTME (JAMB) score was honoured with a ₦100,000 cash prize. Furthermore, she was awarded a fully-funded scholarship to study at Summit University, Offa, courtesy of a joint partnership between Offa Tech Expo and the Amass Foundation. Adding to the evening’s highlights was the official unveiling of the first edition of the Made in Offa Magazine. The publication aims to document inspiring stories of local changemakers, highlight entrepreneurial journeys, and provide readers with a curated look into Offa’s thriving creative and business communities.
