The Students’ Union Government (SUG) of Lens Polytechnic, Offa, Kwara State on Wednesday led a campus-wide sanitation exercise as part of ongoing efforts to promote a cleaner and healthier learning environment.
The exercise, spearheaded by the SUG President, Comrade Yunus Olamilekan Tomiwa, was organised in collaboration with the Office of Mr. Lens, Qamorudeen Rokeeb Satola, and Miss Lens, Precious Ayomide Thomas.
Students and volunteers turned out early in the morning, armed with gloves, nose masks, brooms, and other cleaning tools as they swept through major points across the campus.
Key locations such as lecture halls, walkways, hostel surroundings, and open spaces received thorough cleaning.
The organisers described the initiative as a renewed commitment to environmental hygiene and collective responsibility within the institution.
They commended the students for their impressive participation and expressed gratitude to the management for its support.
The SUG noted that maintaining cleanliness is a shared duty, adding that a clean environment mirrors a responsible and united academic community.
“Together, we are building a campus we can all be proud of,” the union affirmed.
